Lore - Brought you by Drg. Empty Lore - Brought you by Drg.

In the darkness, a voice calls to you, “%name, hear our plea. We seek heroes and heroines to assist in an ever deepening battle against the forces of chaos.”

A bright light shines in front of you a beacon to a world unknown, braving the unknown you walk from the cold expanse into the warmth of a well-lit hall, you look down to see that despite your heart’s wishes you arrived without any sort of armor or weapon, but a simple bag and some food and drink.

In front of you is a scene of commotion as what appears to be townsfolk are gathered around a podium with three great figures standing above them voicing a myriad of concerns in the common language. The center figure you gather is named Ghost and the others apparently make up a Council of Elders of sorts.  They are trying to allay the fears of the townsfolk to some degree of failure.

Stepping ahead into this corporeal world you notice a strange mechanical robot standing in the main entrance of the hall. Speaking to him he reads into the destiny of the stars and offers you an option of what type of Hero you wish to become. Choosing an option the robot prompts you to seek out a trainer located somewhere within the hall.

As you wander around the townsfolk consider their endless barrage of questions about their loved ones and other missing items. The council of elders seems to have no comforting words. At last, you find the one the robot spoke of and after hailing this “trainer” he/she offers you a great boon of power.

You stand debating on accepting the boon before finally deciding to move forward and received from the trainer a weapon of some distinguishment. The trainer describes it as an ageless weapon, a relic you might say, bound to the very destiny you chose. The trainer also mentions that there are strange happenings around and that with some mystical stones you might be able to increase the power of the relic.
Working your way up the stairs you speak to Ghost, the leader of the Council and he explains many things about the world you have stepped into. He thanks you for answering the beacon set the by Council and requests that you travel to a land called “Crushbone” and there he promises more will become clear. You ask him about some armor, but he shakes his head and instead offers that Commander Galix stationed there in that land might have some hand downs that would fit someone of your frame.
You gladly oblige in search of more truth.

    Part Two: Crushbone

Speaking to an arcanist at the top of the hall you find yourself mystically transported in the flash of an eye to another place, a cave entrance that you take to be Crushbone.

Hailing an impressively armored figure you take to be the Commander he acknowledges you and explains that the root cause of the trouble here seems to be an orc by the name of Lord Kethius who rules over the land with an iron fist. He thanks you, but before sending off states that “Ghost sent you here with a purpose, that purpose will become clear with the battle. Enhance your artifact by finding the blessed stone said to be held by Kethius himself and gathered enhanced armor by working with Tulys.” He nods in the direction of a woman standing nearby.
With this, he hands you a few pieces of armor and a few scrolls of wisdom that contain abilities and send you off to talk with Tulys.

Tulys doesn’t have much to say, but explains how to forge armor from the various things carried by the Orcs of Crushbone, focusing on the items you will need for your specific destiny and then pointing out towards the fields gives you a push.

You begin to battle feeling the exhilaration coursing through your veins as a battle song is sung from your heart. With every smash of the artifact you hold you feel your head becoming clearer. Soon you find the orcs hold less of a challenge and you are easily able to dispatch them you begin moving deeper and into a deeper rhythm.

Much later you find yourself awakening as if from a dream, you are much better equipped, with shining armor in on every limb and your weapon is covered in a dark sheen of Orc blood. You stand in a throne room garnished for a king and in front of you stands a massive Orc.

“You fool, you dare challenge me? The lord of this place. For what, what is your purpose?” He asks you.

You shake your head, looking around, looking at your weapons. “I am, here to restore ORDER,” you say leaping towards the orc and smashing your artifact into his chest blasting his back against the throne.

“Guards, come and assist your Lord!” he screams and the fierce battle commences.

Injured, but not beaten you drag yourself back to Commander Galix and hand to him a small shining stone. He looks it over, inspecting it with a careful eye. “This, this is the blessed gemstone, then the threat must be ended.” He whispered as if he cannot believe the words he is saying. Chanting strange foreign words the gemstone’s light begins to brighten and form into something new. He hands this back to you. “Here Hero I have taken the raw power and turned the gemstone into something you can socket into your artifact permanently increasing its power. Hurry now back to Ghost and tell him the threat is now settled.”

He directs you to another nearby arcanist and with a flash you are back in the busy hall. The petitioners still clamoring for information. As you walk through to speak with ghost you feel a refreshing peace rest your soul and your wounds mystically begin to heal as your exhaustion is stripped away. You try to think how long you spent ending the dozens of lives, but it slips away from you like a dream and you can only feel the self-assurance of your power as you step boldly now to figure out what lies next in your destiny.
